It's all part of my rock and roll fantasy...

          I read fairly recently that grunge was coming back and as embarrassing as this is to admit, I was confused about what exactly the style was. I had an idea; I’m a massive Nirvana fan, so my thinking was along the lines of Kurt Cobain and his girl, Courtney Love. Imagine my surprise (or not, I’ve sort of grown to hate that phrase, despite the fact that it’s now finding it’s way into my writing), when I did a little research and discovered that this “grunge” style was MY style. I knew what it was when I saw it, I recognized it when I saw it on other people, but I just never thought of it as my style. I was dense, honestly. But, it’s nice to put a name to what I always thought of as a hodge-podge of whatever. All my plaid, faded denim, flower dresses, band tees, black leggings, and sweaters are a little more loved now.
